I love old songs, old tunes, traditional music. Music filled my youth and heart and has contributed to my Self. Growing up in rural north Alabama, I was surrounded by the songs of the country --gospel, bluegrass, hillbilly-country-traditional music in all forms. Music was constantly in my family's home, where we held regular "pickin and grinnins;" and in our church, which held regular "singings." When I was six, my parents presented me with a ukulele and I began taking music lessons. When I was seven, they bought me a guitar. In 2005, my husband bought me a banjo. And the rest was music! ~PJH
